All orders are processed within 3-5 business days depending on volume of orders. This means that all orders will be processed and shipped within 3-5 business days. Please see shipping information for expected delivery windows. We will always do our best to process orders as quickly as possible but we cannot guarantee that they will be processed and shipped before the 3-5 day window.

We have partnered with USPS to ship our products. We have four shipping options:

  • Local Pick Up

Urban Bird & Company cannot guarantee that an order will be received by a certain date. We do our best to process and ship orders as quickly as possible. The shipping duration depends on the shipping method selected at check out, the distance from the warehouse the order is being shipped, current weather conditions that could effect USPS routes, etc...

Please allow a full business day to process your order before picking up. You will receive an email notification when your order has been fulfilled and is ready for pick up! 

+ International Orders

At this time we do not offer international shipping through our online store, please email us at if you see something you can't live without and we would be happy to get you a shipping estimate!

+ Your Responsibilities 

You are responsible for entering the correct delivery address for your package. Any returned packages will be subject to returned shipping fees.

​We are not responsible for packages once they have been delivered to your mailbox or left at your address. Please make sure you are shipping to a secure location.


We sincerely hope that you enjoy items purchased from our store.  However, we understand the inability to try on items while shopping in our online store.  Don't forget you can always visit us in person at our retail store front in the heart of beautiful downtown Cheboygan!

In the event that your purchase does not meet your needs, our return policy lasts 10 days. If 10 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. If return is received after 10 days but proof can be provided that it was shipped prior to the 10 days since its delivery, the item will qualify for a return- assuming it meets all other return requirements.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging if applicable, and have the original tags on it. If the item is returned to us damaged or used you will not be refunded and we will not be responsible for paying for the item to be returned to you.

We reserve the right to refuse a return at our discretion. If the item has been damaged, worn, stained, washed, has excessive smells from smoke, heavy perfumes or oils, deodorant marks, make up stains, rips, tears, or missing pieces it will not be accepted.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Candles, Piper Lou tumblers swimsuits and jewelry are non-refundable. Accessories such head bands, and hats are  also non-refundable.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.


+ Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

+ Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

You have 3 days to report damaged and defective items. Please include pictures of the damage, or defect in your email
